The Perfect Recipe for Fatigue Beating Summer Smoothies
I don’t know about you but I am super tired at the moment. These long, hot nights are taking their toll and I’m pretty sure everyone is struggling on minimal sleep. Anyone British knows you just can’t win with our weather – we are never happy.
Still though, I cannot keep filling my body with hot coffee for an energy fix, it’s just not pleasant in the heat. On my weekly shop at Aldi I found the solution to all of my problems. I’ve always been a huge smoothie fan but can never manage to keep the ingredients fresh enough or keep on track to have more than one or two, once purchased, which puts me off spending. I’ve tried going all out with different fruits, seeds and mixes but they never seem to stick with me. Aldi, however, have sorted me right out with their frozen smoothie mix bags, you really can’t go wrong.
Aldi Frozen Smoothie Mix Bags
At £1.79 a pouch, you get 600g which includes 7 smoothies. Using 80g of frozen fruit per smoothie, water to mix, ice if required (it is bloody hot in the UK at the moment!) and a sprinkling of the wheatgrass powder to add an energy boost, whizz it all together and voila!
The wheatgrass powder is a great addition to any smoothie – vegan and with minimal taste, you can even sprinkle it on your soups or salads for a boost. Despite the fruit being frozen they taste absolutely delicious. I can feel my body picking itself up already. I will let you know how I feel after seven days of smoothie breakfasts.
Natural energy here I come!
