It was my birthday last week and my aunt, as usual, gifted me some lovely bath lotions and potions – I always look forward to her gifts. Normally I stick with a basic skincare routine including 0% shower gel, Laura Mercier body and bath creme and a light moisturiser for my face, occasionally branching out to the odd bomb, but these gifts from Patisserie de Bain just smelt too good not to indulge.
Firstly, I’ve got to mention how every single item smells entirely edible. So much so that I passed my mum the jar of mini bath bombs and she thought they were bon bons. Not sure how tasty they would have been to eat. Nevertheless, they literally smell like heaven on earth and its unsurprising she made the mistake given the beautiful glass confectionery jar they come inside. To achieve full fizz I’d advise putting 2-3 bombs in your bath, their main purpose being fragrance.
I also added one of these gorgeous Cranberries a Lá Creme Tartlettes de Bain, which not only added to the beautiful smells coming from the bath but also added to the moisturising effects of the water. Apparently the toppings contain Cocoa and Shea butters to nourish the skin, whilst the bottom fizzes to emit the fragrance – yum! My skin certainly smelt and felt great afterwards.
Both the Bath and Shower Cream and the Hand and Body Lotion smelt delicious to put on – Cranberries laced with Chantilly Cream – ooh la la. The lotion is especially thick and luxurious, so you don’t need to use much at a time. Better still, all these products are suitable for vegans.
Overall, this set smells delicious, looks beautiful and is nearly good enough to eat – must remember to hide the bath bombs from my mum when she visits!
