Sunday Mini Primark Haul & A Quick Visit To The Works
I’ve been having shopping withdrawals recently. What with moving home and everything else that’s been going on I haven’t really had to time to just nip to the shops for a quick browse. Determined to get out there today, I headed straight for Primark, and as usual came out with some B-E-A-utiful things at bargain prices – here’s a little look at my Sunday Primark Haul, with a little visit to The Works thrown in.
Primark – Total Spent = £24.00
Harry Potter Gryffindor Pom Pom Keyring £2.00
I know people are starting to think Primark are a going a bit overkill on the Harry Potter branding; for me, however, they can’t do enough! A few bits are on sale at the moment, so it’s worth heading in if you want to pick up some bargains.
I’m a Gryffindor, so had to have this gorgeous little House Team Pom Pom Keyring, complete with the Gryffindor shield. It will sit nicely on my Gryffindor Tote.
Marauders Map Mug – Reduced from £6.00 to £3.00
I’ve wanted this particular mug for a while, but have so many that I couldn’t really justify the buy at £6.00. Ding-Ding-Ding – it’s been reduced. An easy decision and a lovely buy for £3.00. I’m a bit clumsy too so I’m appreciating the double handles in the shape of Harry’s glasses!
Disney Minnie Mouse Nails £3.00
Ahhhh they are so cute! Each nail has a gorgeous design including bows, glitter and polka dot – and there are 24 in a pack! Adhesive isn’t included. Other nails in the range included Beauty and the Beast and Mickey and Minnie – I’ll be heading back soon for more!
Disney Minnie Mouse Gel Eye Mask £3.50
My Tinkerbell eye mask is looking a bit worse for wear at the moment, so I snapped up this Minnie Mouse one. It has a cooling gel pad inside meaning there is no excuse for me not waking up bright eyed and bushy tailed. I’m looking forward to going to bed tonight! I was tempted to buy the Hedgwig mask, but it didn’t come with the cooling pad, and was only £0.50 less, so I thought this was a bit of a bargain!
PS… Nudes Lip Collection in Thrill Seeker £3.00
I was browsing the matte lipgloss collections, and was about to buy one for £2.00, when I noticed the duo set for £3.00 which contains both a lip liner and matte liquid lipstick. Unfortunately I didn’t find the lip liner all that, it was a bit weak, but the lipgloss goes on flawlessly and looks great.
PS… Marble Nails £2.00
I adore marble effect so fell straight in love with these nails. Unlike the Minnie Mouse nails, adhesive is included, but there are also 24 in a pack. There were ombre nails amongst other cute little designs, too. A little cheaper than the branded sets at £2.00.
PS… Cucumber & Vitamin E Skin Tonic – Reduced from £2.00 to £1.00
I have to use gentle products on my skin, and cucumber is perfect for re-hydration without being too harsh. This tonic which also contains Vitamin E was reduced to £1.00 for 200ml and smells SO refreshing.
PS… Deep Cleansing Nose Strips £1.00
£1.00 for four pore strips, they contain aloe vera and work just as well as any brand name pore cleansing strips. I find them really effective and they cling well.
PS… Cool as a Cucumber Facial Cleansing Wipes £1.00
These wipes are a huge bargain at £1.00 for two packs of 25 wipes. I choose the Cool as a Cucumber wipes because they smell yummy, cleanse deeply and always leave my skin feeling completely refreshed after using. I’ve been having trouble with wipes aggravating my eyes and eyelids recently but thankfully these are really pure and don’t seem to irritate me at all.
J Initial Floral Canvas Bag £2.00 and Diamante Pom Pom Keyring £2.00
My mum is always treating me to little bits and pieces, so I wanted to buy her a couple of cute bits too. She’s constantly carrying paperwork to and from work, like MOUNDS of paperwork, so I thought this cute little J initial canvas bag, with it’s pretty florals and pink and metallic details was perfect for her.
Like me, she also likes cute, fluffy, girly things, and I loved the initial pom pom key rings, so I picked her up a little grey one with a diamante J.
The Works – Total Spent = £8.50
The Anxiety Solution by Chloe Brotheridge RRP £12.99 The Works Price £3.00
I only had to read the first page of this book and I realised Chloe was someone I could relate to. I can’t explain the feeling of relief I feel when I pick up a self-help book (and trust me, I’ve picked up A LOT), and the person does not feel as though they are preaching, merely sharing their experience to help you understand yours. As a bonus, when you buy this book you gain access to Chloe’s online materials for Mindfulness etc. I’m looking forward to getting stuck into this book.
Always Believe in Unicorns Notebook RRP £5.00 The Works Price £1.50
I’m always on the lookout for cute notebooks to stick in my handbag or gift, and The Works never fails to provide for me. Today’s buy was this cute little notebook, a bargain at £1.50 and hardback too, to protect all those important blogging ideas!
Day of the Dead Colouring Book – RRP £9.99 The Works Price £4.00
Colouring is a way I like to relax and de-stress when I am feeling anxious, but I’ve not been able to find any books that stand out and make me want to begin them recently – everything seems a bit samey or reproduced. I loved studying the Mexican Day of the Dead in Art at Secondary School, drawing the colourful skulls, decorating them and learning about the history of the day. I saw this Day of the Dead book today and grabbed it! The Works is always so reasonable too, I’ve seen this retailing for £11.51 elsewhere.
I love nipping out to the shops – I rarely go for anything in particular, but ALWAYS come back with something cute.
